Inspired by our water meadows at Thyme and designed in combination with the other prints in this collection, our Founder, Caryn hand painted gorgeous branches of willow flowing and hanging as it would in the gardens to create this stunning interiors collection of fabrics and wallpapers.

This print works well with the matching fabric or compliment our Yellow Iris and Rivermint designs. As a neutral green colour, this would work well with many plain fabric and paint colours.

As this is a larger scale wallpaper it is sold as a pair of rolls to adapt the artwork layout. The price is £340 per pair as it comes in two 52cm width wallpaper rolls.

Key Botanicals

The water meadows at Thyme are a very special place. As you stroll through the long grasses, buttercups, and orchids, the air is filled with the heady scent of wild water mint. On the river banks, yellow flag iris bloom and willows gently sway in the breeze. In winter, the land often floods, transforming the landscape and renewing the rich ecosystem. Meadowlands are the UK's most biodiverse habitat, supporting incredible ecosystems of birdlife, insects, and mammals.

Through our work with ornithologists, we know that the meadows are home to an array of migratory birds including warblers and cuckoos. Travelling from far flung places such as Sub-Saharan Africa, these birds are a golden thread to habitats across the world.

Willow

Willow trees are often found near water, with slender, silvery leaves gently billowing in the breeze. The willow trees are a favourite with the dainty Willow Warbler, summer visiting birds with olive, yellow feathery breasts which migrate across vast distances, to and from sub-saharan Africa.

How to order

Our wallpaper is printed to order in England and has a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks. We hold stock of some ranges. Please enquire with the boutique regarding any wallpaper designs that may be available for immediate dispatch.

Materials & Product Care

Our wallpaper partner sources FSC-certified wallpaper bases. While our standard wallpaper base currently contains a small amount of synthetic fibres to enhance durability, the mill is actively working towards using a 100% recycled PET alternative. Non-woven wallpaper bases offer several advantages over traditional paper alternatives. They provide higher strength and better tear resistance, particularly when wet. They are also easier to cut and handle during installation, with no seam separation on the wall. Installation and removal are simpler and more efficient—just paste the wall, not the paper. Non-woven coverings also have a thicker, more textile-like feel, giving them a premium appearance and finish.
