Cutting Garden Medley Linen Apron

£95.00

To fill the house with freshly cut flowers must be one of life’s greatest joys.

Unashamedly boisterous, happy and wonderfully floriferous our Cutting Garden collection is inspired by the linear rows, as the botanicals grow in our cutting gardens at Thyme.

These neat rows contrast with chaos and pattern of nature, playfully reach for the sun as they grow and together with the heady scents that fill the air are the very essence of an English garden.

Hand painted by our Founder and Creative Director, Caryn Hibbert, all of our original prints depict the flora and fauna that inhabit Thyme’s garden, farm and wild spaces. The prints are then repeated by her husband, Jerry, before being scaled by our expert team in Lithuania onto beautiful, crisp European linen.

The aprons are adjustable at the neck and have a large pocket on the front. They are elegantly long but can be folded up when tied.

40 degree wash, no steam, do not bleach. 100% European starched linen for a luxurious finish.

About Our English Cutting Garden at Thyme

Our cutting gardens sit adjacent to the water meadows where the soil is rich and fertile, they are a wonderful source of flowers and foliage throughout most of the year.

Flowers are best harvested in the cool of an early morning, as mists and bird song rise over the river we gather armfuls of seasonal blooms, plunging the stems into buckets of cold water. In wheel barrows they are bought to the flower room where shaded rest and a long quenching drink ensures they are in the best condition possible before being arranged into vases of all shapes and sizes.

From small table posies to huge voluptuous arrangements the air is filled with the fresh green scent of verdant leaves, sappy stems and all manner of fragrant blooms.
